Comprehensive Victim Intervention and Prevention Specialist
Juanita Britt McDonald is a Comprehensive Victim Intervention and Prevention Specialist. Specializing in Traumatic Brain Response (Injury) and Inter-Generational Trauma. She holds a Doctorate Degree in Christian Psychology, and Minor in Human Behavior.
Dr. McDonald is Credentialed as a Victim Service Provider in South Carolina; Certified as a Mental Health First Aide, Suicide Prevention, Girl Circle Facilitator, and Train-the-Trainer.
Juanita is the Executive Director of Re-Discover ME Women Initiative, whose mission is to Engage, Educate, and Inspire Change for which survivors affected by abuse, trauma, and mental health challenges can Rediscover the ME” she strives to be. She’s also the Author of the Mental Safety Plan Journal, Re-Discover ME Training Pathways, and creator of the “Trigger Cloud”.
Through Re-Discover ME, Juanita works with a vast array of individuals, groups, community leaders, businesses, and advocates locally and nationally. Therefore, her personal mission is to be the best transformative servant leader possible.
And when she’s not developing training programs, counseling, or supporting her community, you can find Juanita laughing and loving-on her family. She’s the mother of five amazing children: four daughters and one son, ten grandchildren, and twin niece and nephew that keeps the entertainment going.
