“As a community, we have to be aware, we have to advocate for each other and ourselves, and we have to ask the hard questions, so we can empower ourselves,” says Dr. Gloria T. Anderson. It wasn’t until the pandemic struck that healthcare disparities became a popular topic of discussion. To better advocate for her friends and family, Dr. Gloria T. Anderson has taken her brand digital. With the help of her daughter and marketing expert, Tracee T. Holloway, Dr. Gloria is able to effectively spread awareness about healthcare and the black community. In today’s episode, the mother-daughter duo discusses how they are advocating for healthcare equity one brand at a time.
Tracee discovered her love for brand identity by helping her mother build her brand as a public speaker. Throughout her experience, Tracee has realized that the best way to spread awareness about your brand is online. In fact, Tracee explains that social media makes up 75% of the exposure your business will receive. To help her mother achieve her mission, Tracee has focused heavily on creating strategies to build a credible and authentic online presence. Together, this mother-daughter duo has been able to provide culturally relevant and credible information about health care that empowers their communities to better advocate for themselves and their loved ones.
Tune into this week’s episode of Southern Soul Live Stream to learn more about healthcare disparities, personal branding, and how you can use social media to spread positivity and advocate for change.
